GAFTA responds to ‘mischievous’ petition against James Gardiner, Kafui Danku

The Ghana Academy of Film and Television Arts (GAFTA) has distanced itself from a petition calling for the removal of Kafui Danku and James Gardiner as Executive Secretary and Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority (NFA). GAFTA’s President, Dr. Jim Fara Awindor, confirmed that while three executives referenced in the petition—George Bosompim, Jim Awindor, and Linus Abraham—are indeed GAFTA members, they have denied any involvement. “Three names appearing on the list—George Bosompim, Jim Awindor, and Linus Abraham—belong to GAFTA but are not privy to such a petition.
