The feature film "Gangs" by Moroccan director Kamal Lazraq was screened last night, Wednesday, as part of the 15th Francophone Film Festival (Francofilm) in Rome, in the presence of dignitaries from diplomatic and media circles, along with moviegoers. "Gangs," the young Moroccan director's debut feature, tells the story of Hassan and his son Issam, who live day-to-day in a working-class neighborhood on the outskirts of Casablanca, where they become involved in illegal activities to earn a living. One night, they are tasked by a gang leader with carrying out a kidnapping.
