Acclaimed Egyptian cinema critic Ahmed Shawky appointed as President of the Critics Jury at Berlin Film Festival

The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) announced the selection of acclaimed Egyptian critic Ahmed Shawky as president of the Critics Jury at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, which will be held in the German capital from February 13-23, 2025. The Berlin jury is the largest committee organized by the International Federation of Film Critics annually, as it includes 12 critics from around the world, each three of whom judge films in one of the festival’s sections.
