Benhura hints at major exhibitions

Renowned sculptor Dominic Benhura has hinted at major exhibitions in which he is set to participate. The sculptor, who is celebrating nearly 46 years in the industry, revealed in an interview that sculpting is his lifestyle, emphasising that creativity is essential for remaining relevant and dominant in the field. “Sculpting is an integral part of my life. It has been my hobby since I was 10 years old when I began working with a chisel, hammer, and stone. “I enjoy it abundantly, day in and day out. I have been in the industry since 1979,” he said. Surprisingly, despite his global dominance, the talented sculptor expressed a desire to stage a show locally. “I would like to do a solo show at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe if the opportunity arises like I used to do years ago. “My last local show was at Amanzi Restaurant in 2019.” “I have been very busy year after year.
