Legendary Congolese singer Koffi Olomide has released a new song, "Chante Goma," expressing his deep longing for the city of Goma in North Kivu. In the song, he voices hope that the city will soon be reclaimed by the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) after it fell under the control of the M23 rebel group on January 27, 2025. The song, released on February 2, 2025, comes after Koffi had previously hinted at his desire to create music that would uplift and inspire the national army.
