Black Sherif honors Amakye Dede, names upcoming album after him

Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif has proven once again that he is not just a star but also a student of music history. On Monday, February 3, the award-winning artist visited Highlife legend Amakye Dede at his home to express his gratitude for the inspiration that has fueled his career. Growing up in Asante Akyem, Black Sherif’s artistic foundation was built on the melodies of Amakye Dede, whom he referenced in one of his earlier songs. During the visit, Black Sherif revealed that his upcoming album, Iron Boy, will be named after Amakye Dede.
