Reggae music has lost one of its most iconic voices. Colvin “Cocoa Tea” Scott, the legendary reggae singer, has passed away at the age of 65. His wife, Malvia Scott, confirmed the news to The Gleaner, revealing that the singer passed away early this morning at 4:46 AM at a hospital in Broward, Ft Lauderdale, Florida, after suffering a cardiac arrest. In an emotional conversation with The Gleaner, Malvia shared the tragic details of Cocoa Tea’s final moments. “I received a call this morning saying that he had been transferred from the facility to the hospital, which was just five minutes away. He had been vomiting,” she explained. “He was first diagnosed with lymphoma back in 2019, and in the last six months, he had also been battling pneumonia.” ...
