RMD started his entertainment career with a role as a police inspector in the soap opera "Ripples". In 2005, He won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. In 2016, he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Africa Movie Academy Award. But RMD's talents extend beyond acting. He is also into politics, serving as the Special Adviser for Culture and Tourism, and later stepping up as the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State from 2009 to 2015.
